We expect to arrive back at the quilt shop in time to hang all the wonderful quilts that we want hoppers to see. Some of these are ones that customers have made and some are ones that staff members have made and some are heirlooms that were in the closet. Come by during Shop Hop and see all the beautiful models that thrill us so much.

At Heirlooms & Comforts this week we will feature Carolina Shop Hop with a commemorating theme to highlight Civil War Era fabrics and quilts. See our rendition of the quilt made from the blocks that the participating shops have designed/kitted. As you hop about the route for Carolina Shop Hop you can collect the kits that each shop has put together. Then you can combine the finished blocks into a beautiful quilt to reflect the style of the quilts from the Civil War period of our country's history.
Also as you hop around the shops you will see the real models that are included in the Carolina Shop Hop book called Carolina Comforts. Kathy White designed the quilts that are featured from Heirlooms & Comforts. We are pleased that the editor of the book, Robin Culbertson from Asheville Cotton Company, used the photos of Kathy's beautiful quilts in the quaint setting at the front of the Central Roller Mill. You will want to purchase one of these books during Shop Hop because it is a great book and you will be able to save $2 per book during the July 8 thru July 16 time frame. All the 13 quilts in the book are great; you will love making all of them!
Pre-Owned Machines Available
Whenever a new model Husqvarna Viking machine is introduced, it creates great buys for those who wish to have a bargain-priced pre-owned machine. That is the case at Heirlooms & Comforts right now. We have a list of used machines that you just might be interested in. Click on this link to go to the full list to see what has been traded in lately. Some models are moving out the same day they come in. Check with us often to be sure you don't miss these good ones.
Holiday Hours
Remember that we are closed on July 4th and will return to regular hours on Tuesday, July 5th.
