Preparation Time

For any really good event there has to be preparation time that involves a lot of thought and hard work. Well, that is what is happening now at Heirlooms & Comforts. We are preparing for the next class schedule to be published on the H&C web site. Cissie is really busy talking to teachers and collecting ideas for classes that we can offer for your learning pleasure. Now is the time for you to call in to the shop to say what you are ready to learn about in the world of quilting. Tell us any technique or pattern that you are interested in and we will do our best to locate a teacher who can fit into the calendar and present the class for all of you to take advantage of. The schedule is to be finalized by the end of April for classes to be presented in May, June, July and August. Call soon.

H&C Feature of the Week: Amy Butler
At Heirlooms & Comforts this week we will feature the designer Amy Butler: fabrics, patterns, and books at 20% off original price (currently in stock items only). There are many fabrics in cotton quilting weight, laminated prints, and extra wide goods (some with linen content). We have clothing patterns, purse patterns, home décor patterns and books of ideas and patterns. All are at 20% off this week.

Reminders
There are a few things to remember that will be on the calendar in the coming weeks:

• Central Railroad Festival: April 23 (fun for the entire family).
• Easter: April 24 (new spring dresses)
• Mother's Day: May 8 (give her that great new sewing machine - buy it early during March specials at H&C) 
• Graduation: late May or early June: (special quilts)
• Father's Day: June 19 (new lap quilt)
• Kid's Sewing Camp: last week of July (Start talking now about signing up so you don't miss out. Beginners are welcome ages 8 to 15.)

These are just to give you heads-up for things to come that you want to be prepared for.
